43 Things profile page — 7 months ago
We’ve gone through a few rounds of design for the new 43 Things profile page (the page with your doing/done lists, edit account, cheers, etc). It is a work in progress, but we wanted to share it with you as it develops. Here are some of the features and changes on the new page:
- the ability to add a goal from your profile page!
- right column customization - you choose what goes in the right column
- simplifying the tabs (2 instead of 4) that puts the focus on your list of goals, and your list of accomplishments
- letting you edit or remove a goal right from the list
With the standard disclaimers (still designing, tweaking and refining) the right column will allow people to pick and choose what they want in the right column and re-order it to their taste. We’ll start with a few standard things that everyone uses: cheers and tags. For those that like displaying their Flickr photos, you’ll be able to add Flickr in the right column. Attached is an early mock-up of these ideas:

Health Month roll call — 7 months ago
Rick is guessing that the failure rate for Health Month is 80% (meaning 20% make it all the way through). I think it's higher than that, if you count the people who actually started to begin with. Here's what I've tallied so far from what I know:- Me: in
- Kellianne: She's out on Feb 1st
- Rick: in
- Judi: in
- Ingo: in
- Andy: in
- Alice: in
- Rachel H: in
- Rachel Moonraye: in
- Ivan: out: cheating like crazy even though he thinks he's still on it (Eastern Europeans)
- Laurel: in
- Scott N: in
- Heather: out about half way through
- Jenn: out on Jan 18th with drinks and Jan 27th with food
- Carinna: not sure... I think still in
- Ryan: in
- Miranda: out on Jan 21st
- Jonathan Vanasco: out on Jan 25th
- Keith Butters: out on Jan 17th
- Stephanie Durrell: out on Jan 13th
Current tally for success is: 12/20, or 60% success rate. Not bad, right? And even the people who got out early probably received a large percentage of the benefit. I personally feel like I'm in the long tail of the benefit, but want to be thorough and see it to the end, just in case there's a secret hidden track or something. - Me: in

Choosing a fabric — 7 months ago
Buster McLeod added an entry about buy a bespoke suit:I talked to Scott Kuhlman this weekend and he introduced me to the process of making a bespoke suit. It takes approximately 8 weeks, and has the following steps:
- Choose a fabric
- Get sized
- Come in for the first fitting
- Talk about the style and details
- Come in for a second fitting
- Walk out with a new suit tailored exactly to me!
I’m super excited about this. I found a couple fabrics that I really liked and got little samples of them to consider. I’m gonna go back this Sunday to tell him my final selection and to get this party started.
