Hi! — about 1 year ago
Buster McLeod commented on How I met Buster McLeod:Yeah, that was totally me! Sorry that I might have appeared surprised… you just caught me a little off guard as I was trying to choose a flavor of ice cream at the local market!
Next time we run into each other, let’s have a proper conversation. I almost never shoot people for saying hello.

Buster McLeod commented on Why I like Buster McLeod:Next time I recommend having the pumpkin beer with the cowboy taco. On the Duck™.
I’m glad I got to meet you Casey! Which of all the places we went was your favorite? I’m still thinking about how I’m a weird monster on the inside.

Totally the same — about 1 year ago
Buster McLeod commented on Why I like Buster McLeod:I think we should consider either teaming up more officially, or becoming nemeses. Either way, I think we can use each other’s ideas to do bigger and better things. Speaking of, are you at the World RPS tournament today?
I keep track of your shoes.

Buster McLeod commented on How I met Buster McLeod:Hot air balloon raffles, hot dog parties… what will be next?

How I met Alain de Botton — about 1 year ago
I went to his talk on the architecture of happiness yeserday at the Seattle Library. It was a great talk. Afterwards I got in the line to sign books and when I got to the front I said, “I didn’t bring my book for you to sign, but can I give you a hug?”
He said, “How about a handshake.” He looked visibly frightened. Haha.
I said, “No. Hug.” And he gave me a hug and people started laughing. Hugs are the new slaps.

Buster McLeod commented on One thing you probably didn't know about Buster McLeod:Although I don’t think you’re right, I think it would be quite hilarious to find out exactly why. Sign me up.

How I met rabble — over 2 years ago
Within a couple minutes of meeting Rabble at Foo Camp he was talking about adventures sailing in the bay on his boat. I especially enjoyed the reinactment of smooth sailing smooth sailing smooth sailing OH NO I’M GOING TO DIE!

One thing you probably didn't know about Mahalie — over 2 years ago
She will speak convincingly of the trendy cupcake store’s doomed nature while she eats a cupcake.

Buster McLeod commented on A story about Buster McLeod:Which was especially difficult because most people don’t even KNOW that grains of sand can open their eyes!

How I met Sir Aaron — over 2 years ago
He just stepped into the Co-op for a quick hello and told us of his adventures trying to make it to the San Juan Islands. A totally nice guy. Nice to meet you, Aaron!

Why I like Cameron Walters — over 2 years ago
He’s causing the right kind of trouble in SF. Not to mention that he also led us to a paradise-esque taqueria at 2:30 in the morning after Harry’s birthday party that I think I’m still burping up and enjoying even a week and a half later.

Why I like ladystephy — over 2 years ago
Stephanie (and Erin) taught me that it’s impossible to ever be bored. This is a big accomplishment in the land of Woodbridge and at the age of 16. Whenever something close to boredom came about we would break out the video camera, jump in water fountains, and hand out pieces of paper to strangers in Woodbridge Center that simply said “hi”. Not ever being bored is probably one of the best tricks I’ve ever learned. Thanks Stephy!

A story about stacy — over 2 years ago
She mentioned this giant beautiful bird with sharp claws that she sort of went all the way to Australia to see but I don’t remember the name (maybe it begins with a “c”). I tried typing “australian giant bird” into the internet and though I didn’t find this particular bird, I did find a lot of interesting information on Australia’s megafauna... I love the megafauna.

My favorite memory of susiet — over 2 years ago
It was a late Wednesday Office Hours at the Hideout... Susie didn’t have her glasses on and couldn’t see who any of us were, but she managed to be the most engaging person there (talking about world domination, a favorite topic of mine).
Susie has her hands in several of Seattle’s finest groups of people: Town Hall, KEXP, and the Northwest Film Forum. Talking with her makes you feel like you can make Seattle even better than it already is.

How I met CriminalSalt — over 2 years ago
She ran into Daniel, Todd, and I at the Daniel Gilbert talk on happiness and we had a drink at The Hideout (of all places) afterwards with her friend Gavin. I’m beginning to really enjoy these casual talks and post-talk wrap-ups… thanks for introducing yourself! Keep an eye out for those Town Hall talks.

Buster McLeod commented on A story about Willo O'Brien:Thanks! I’ll see if I can get Maggie to scan another picture of it. That’s the first drawing I’ve done in probably a decade… it was fun though.
PS if you want to spend a couple more hours daydreaming on our sites, one of my favorite things is here: 1,000 places to see before you die.

A story about Willo O'Brien — over 2 years ago
Eric Case warned me before meeting this lady… he said to watch out for her crazy energy! Well I love crazy energy and therefore we got along perfectly as blind roomies at SXSW this last year. I love that within a few hours of meeting, she was able to so perfectly draw out my frequent daydream. I was inspired enough by it to eventually do my own version. Stay cool, Willo. BFF!
